Why the details matter
Braiding deserves a salon, not a back room.
For decades, African hair braiding in Belgium has been pushed into the margins — apartments, basements, after-hours rentals. We rejected that completely. Antwerpen Braiders is a fully licensed luxury salon with hospital-grade sanitation, every stylist on payroll, and a clientele that includes Antwerp's most discerning women.
The studio was designed in partnership with a Zuid interior architect. Warm timbers, brushed brass, soft linen, low light. The kind of room where a six-hour install passes like a long lunch.
